Registration
You can register via this link. We ask for a small
registration fee of 120 euro to pay for catering and logistics, to be paid before the start of the meeting (March 15th at the latest).
Details for payment will be communicated to you after registering via the above link.
You can also indicate whether you wish to present a talk (15+5 minutes) or a poster (details will be provided).
Meeting Venue
The meeting will take place in the iconic library “de Krook” in the center of Ghent (Platteberg 11, 9000 Ghent),
in room “de Blauwe Vogel”. The library is easily accesible from Ghent Sint-Pieters train station using
public transport and is a walking distance away from hotels in the city centre.
The library is accessible from both the direction of the city center (via Kortedagsteeg and Grote huidevettershoek),
or from the South (via Vlaanderenstraat and Woodrow Wilsonplein). Before 10:00am “de Blauwe Vogel” meeting room is accessible
from the library entrance at level -1 only, and not via the main entrance to the library. From 8:30, we will await you at the
entrance at level -1 to greet, welcome and register you to the meeting. Please inform us beforehand if you cannot make it before
9am, so we can avoid disturbances during presentations.
Conference Dinner
To also offer an opportunity to meet and interact with colleagues in a less formal seeting, we welcome you to join us for dinner at Eetkaffee Multatuli on Friday the 11th of April, at 7pm. The dinner costs 55 euros, which includes three courses and drinks. You can indicate that you would like to join us on the registration site (see link above)
Accommodation
For previous meetings we had very positive experiences working with IBIS Kathedraal hotel which is about a 10-minute walk from the meeting venue (or tram lines T1 or T4, from stop “Gent Duivelsteen” to “Gent Zuid, platform 2”). Other hotels close to the meeting venue that we can recommend (from experience) are Erasmus hotel and Monasterium. However, the meeting venue is easily accessible using tram or bus from most parts of the city, so guests are of course free to find other accommodation.
Transportation
The meeting venue is close to many different public tram and bus lines. Ghent is easily reached by train, and we encourage international guests to travel by train rather than plane if possible. However, those who travel by plane can take a direct train from Brussels airport to Ghent Sint-Pieters train station, from which hotels and the meeting venue are easily reached using public transport.
